Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups warm water
7 tsp salt
generous 1/3 cup butter flavored shortening (or butter)
3 TBSP sugar
1/3 cup honey*
4 1/2 tsp (2pkg) Rapid Rise yeast

bread flour (~6 cups)
wheat flour (~6 cups)
Method:
Method:
- Combine all ingredients except flour, sprinkle yeast on water, (no need to let it proof).
- Add white flour and whole wheat flour gradually, in equal portions and mix until doughy and still a bit sticky.
- Knead for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Let rise until twice it's original size, in a greased bowl. Punch down and knead again.
- Divide into 3 sections, form to fit loaf pans. Press into greased pans, flip to expose greased top, then press to fit again.
- Let rise again.
- Bake 325° F. for 1 hour.
- Turn from pans onto cooling racks, and grease all crusts with shortening or butter to soften, otherwise, crusts will be hard when cool.
* Sugar Substitute:
-- 1/3 cup honey = (~ 1/2 cup sugar (slightly less) + ~ 1.5 TBS water)
-- 1 Cup honey = (1 1/4 c sugar + 1/4 water)
