Dill Pickles

Ingredients:
Brine:
1 cup salt
1 quart vinegar (5% Acidity)
2 quarts water

Bottles
1 clove garlic
1 hot chili pepper (dried)
1 pickling onion
pinch alum
Dill (2 drops Essential Oil)
Cucumbers

Method:

  1. Boil brine ingredients together
  2. Fill bottles with cucumbers and bottle ingredients
  3. Cover contents with brine
