Bread Bowl Chili

 


Ingredients:

1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground sausage
2 cans (16 oz each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes with garlic and onion, undrained
1 can (14.5 oz) beef broth
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
2 TBSP chili powder
12 hard rolls (about 4-1/2 inches), optional

Optional Toppings
Cheddar cheese, shredded
Green Onions, sliced
Sour Cream

Method:

  1. In a large saucepan, cook beef and pork over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. 
  2. Stir in the beans, tomatoes, broth, tomato sauce, and chili powder.
  3. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Serve in soup bowls and top with desired toppings
