1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup cream
1 (29oz) can of pumpkin (3 1/2 cups fresh)
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 large eggs (slightly beat)
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp maple flavoring
Method:
- Scald milk and cream in a heavy pan
- Add ingredients in the order above and mix well
- Pour into unbaked pie shell and shield crust with foil
- Bake at 450° F for 10 minutes. Turn down the oven to 350° and bake until knife comes out clean (about 45 minutes)
