Ingredients & Method:
- Soak 2/3 cup dry bread crumbs in 3/4 cup canned milk
- Combine:
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 lb. chopped lean ground beef
- 1/4 lb. ground veal
- 1/4 lb. ground pork
- (you can use one kind of meat, but the blend is better)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp cloves
- Blend mixture with a light hand. Shape into small balls.
- Fry balls in butter or oil until brown, shaking pan to prevent sticking
- Add 1/4 cup boiling water and simmer over very low heat for 5 minutes.
