Phulourie

Ingredients:
2 cups ground garbanzo beans (fine flour)
2 tsp minced garlic (1 tsp garlic powder)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
4 tsp baking powder
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp hot pepper
2 cups water (or more)
2 cups oil for frying

Method:
  1. In a large mixing bowl combine ground chick peas, garlic, turmeric powder, baking powder, flour, and salt.
  2. Mix in water and hot pepper. Mix until dropping consistency (may require more water).
  3. Drop into hot oil and deep fry until golden brown and well cooked. Turn frequently.
  4. Drain on paper towel and serve with chutney.
